I was very impressed with this film from the first minute on. I had the feeling I was about to watch something unique and original. I sure was not disappointed. Starting all the way from the story, the sublime cinematography, the superb acting of all the principals, the very poignant music score and the wonderful ending. No doubt deserves not only five stars but to be seen by many again and again!. My many thanks to Europa Film Treasures for giving us the gift of watching this unique and original film. A true silent masterpiece of the French cinema.
